LB CIM participated in a Digital Payments Awareness Event held at the premises of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL) in October 2025, reinforcing its commitment to supporting Sri Lanka’s transition towards a digitally empowered financial ecosystem.
The event brought together leading banks and finance companies across the country, working collaboratively to promote the adoption of digital payment solutions among CBSL staff. With a strong focus on awareness and education, participating institutions set up dedicated stalls to demonstrate the convenience, security, and efficiency of modern payment technologies.
During the event, CBSL staff had the opportunity to explore a wide range of digital financial services, including mobile banking applications, QR-based payment methods, and other innovative solutions designed to simplify everyday transactions. The initiative served as a valuable platform to educate participants on the benefits of transitioning from cash-based transactions to faster, more secure digital alternatives.
Representing its digital platform, LB CIM actively engaged with attendees by showcasing the features and capabilities of its mobile application. The team provided hands-on guidance, helping users seamlessly perform transactions such as bill payments, mobile reloads, and account management through a single, user-friendly interface. In addition, CBSL staff were successfully onboarded, further demonstrating the platform’s efficiency and ease of use.
A key highlight of the event was the promotion of LANKAQR, Sri Lanka’s national QR payment standard, which enables customers to make instant and secure payments directly from their mobile devices. Both merchants and individuals were encouraged to adopt QR-based solutions to enhance transaction efficiency and convenience.
Through its participation, LB CIM continues to play an active role in promoting digital financial literacy and empowering users to confidently embrace the future of digital payments.
