The CIM Personal Loan is a smart, short-term financial solution designed specifically for salaried individuals. Powered by AI, it offers quick access to funds for personal expenses, emergencies, or planned purchases -all managed directly through your phone.

  • How much can I borrow?
    You can apply for any amount ranging from 25,000 to Rs. 300,000.
  • What are the interest rates and repayment terms? * Interest Rate: Starts at a flat rate of 3% per month. This may vary based on your credit score and selected repayment period.
  • Repayment Period: Enjoy flexible terms ranging from 3 to 24 months.
What is the Eligibility to get a CIM Personal Loan?

Eligibility & Requirements

  • Who is eligible to apply?
    You are eligible to apply if you meet the following criteria:
  • Citizenship: Sri Lankan citizen currently residing in Sri Lanka.
  • Age: Between 18 and 55 years old.
  • Employment: Salaried employee with at least 6 months of continuous employment.
  • Income: Minimum monthly net salary of Rs. 30,000.
  • Status: Permanent or Fixed-Term employment.
  • Salary Credit: Your salary must be credited to a bank account.
What documents do I need to provide to get a personal loan?
  • To process your application, you will need to submit: Completed digital loan application form.
  • National Identity Card (NIC).
  • Salary slips for the last 2 months.
  • Bank statements for the last 2 months (showing your salary credits).
  • Salary account details.
  • Details of two referees (one from your workplace and one from your family).
How long does the approval process take?

Thanks to our AI-powered credit evaluation system, many users receive instant loan approval. If you are not eligible for instant approval, your application will automatically be moved to our manual review process for further consideration.

Why is my account blocked?

To keep your money safe, your account may be temporarily locked if:

  • Failed Logins: You enter an incorrect Username or PIN 3 times.
  • New Device: You log in from a new phone (we do this to prevent unauthorized access). To Unblock: Please call our 24/7 hotline at 0112 200 500 and a representative will assist you immediately.
I forgot my PIN. Can I reset it myself?

Yes! You can easily reset your PIN through the Self-PIN Reset feature without needing to call us.

Follow these simple steps:

  1. Tap the “Forgot PIN” option on the login screen
  2. Enter your NIC Number to verify your identity.
  3. Verification:
    • If you have Biometrics enabled: You can use your Fingerprint or Face ID to instantly set a new PIN.
    • If you don’t use Biometrics: You will be asked to answer the Security Questions you set during registration.
  4. Once verified, simply enter and confirm your new 6-digit PIN, and you’re back in!
Can I use LB CIM if I am living outside of Sri Lanka?

Yes! LB CIM is designed to keep you connected to your finances back home. You can register for the app and receive your OTPs using your international mobile number if you are residing in one of our supported countries.

Is there any Convenience fee?

If you require a limit request more than 5M, then you can submit the request from the CIM App or from a CIM Limit Enhancement Form from a branch by sending it to cimlimit@lbfinance.lk

How do I unblock my account or change my device while I'm out of Sri Lanka?

If you’re abroad and need to reset your PIN or activate a new device, we use a secure Video Verification process to keep your account safe.

  • Contact us: If roaming is active, call 0112 200 500. If not, text 0762 200 500.
  • Video Call Setup: We will provide a link for a 3CX Video Conference.
  • Identity Check: Enter the meeting by renaming “Guest” to your NIC Number. Ensure you have your original NIC card in hand to show the representative.
  • Email Support: Drop a line to cimsupport@lbfinance.lk. Our dedicated agents will guide you through the next step.
How do I transfer money using CIM?

Log in to the CIM app, select “Fund Transfer,” choose the recipient, enter the amount, and confirm the transaction.

What transaction limits are available?

Customers can request transaction limits of LKR 100,000, 200,000, 400,000, or 500,000.

How do I top-up my CIM Account?

To top-up for the CIM App, please log in to the CIM App > Click on the “Add Funds”> Click on “My Saved Accounts” to view your already linked bank accounts or click on “Add New Accounts” > Click on the bank you wish to top-up from > Enter the amount you wish to top-up > Click on “Top-up” > Click on “Agree” > Now you successfully done a Top-up.

What are the limits I can request and how to do so?

The limits you can request by calling us on our CIM Support Centre hotline (0112 200 500) are:

  • Rs. 100,000/-
  • Rs. 200,000/-
  • Rs. 400,000/-
  • Rs. 500,000/-

If you require a limit request more than Rs. 500,000/-, then you can submit the request from the CIM App or from a CIM Limit Enhancement Form from a branch by sending it to cimlimit@lbfinance.lk.

How to apply for a CIM Personal Loan and details relevant to it?

Please open the CIM App > Click on the Pink Wizard menu on the right-hand side > Click on the last option “Request a Loan” > Click on “CIM Personal Loan” > Refer the eligibility requirements > Click on “Click here to apply” > Then enter the relevant details in the KYC pages and Submit > The click “Submit” > Then you have successfully applied for the CIM Personal Loan.

Can I settle my LB Facilities (Gold Loans, Leases, or Loans) via the LB CIM App?

No, you cannot perform a full settlement of Gold Loans, Leases, or Loans obtained from LB Finance through the CIM App. However, the app allows you to conveniently pay your Monthly Due Amount for these facilities at any time.

How do I link a bank account to CIM?

Log in to the app, navigate to “Add Funds,” select “Add New Account,” enter your bank details, and accept the relevant terms and conditions

What are the requirements to link a bank account?
  • JustPay facilities must be activated
  • SMS alerts must be enabled
  • NIC and mobile number must match bank records
  • Joint accounts are not supported
