LB Finance PLC, through its digital financial platform LB CIM, participated in the Central Bank of Sri Lanka’s (CBSL) PayDigital Jaffna Campaign, held on 7th and 8th August 2026 at Cargills Square, Jaffna, supporting the national drive to encourage the adoption of digital payment methods and strengthen digital financial inclusion across the country.
Conducted under the theme “Shaping the Future through Digital Payments,” the two-day programme brought together financial institutions, payment service providers, merchants, government representatives and members of the public to create greater awareness of the benefits of digital payments and encourage wider adoption of secure and convenient cashless transactions.
The inaugural session was attended by Hon. Nagalingam Vethanayahan, Governor of the Northern Province, together with senior officials from CBSL, the Jaffna District Secretariat, financial institutions and LankaPay. The programme provided visitors with an opportunity to explore a range of digital payment solutions while gaining greater awareness of the convenience, security and accessibility of digital transactions.
During the campaign, the LB CIM team engaged with visitors and showcased its range of digital financial services, highlighting how digital solutions can make everyday financial transactions simpler, faster and more convenient. The team also created awareness of LANKAQR and other digital payment solutions, encouraging consumers and merchants to embrace secure and convenient cashless transactions.
As part of its efforts to extend digital payment awareness beyond the main event venue, LB Finance also set up a dedicated stall at the Jaffna Divisional Secretariat, providing an opportunity to engage directly with government staff. The LB CIM team introduced staff members to the platform and demonstrated its range of digital financial services, while creating awareness of the convenience and benefits of adopting digital financial solutions in their everyday lives.
The engagement with government staff further complemented LB Finance’s participation in the PayDigital Jaffna Campaign, allowing the company to reach a wider audience and contribute to the broader objective of building greater awareness, confidence and adoption of digital payment methods.
Through its participation in PayDigital Jaffna, LB Finance reaffirmed its commitment to supporting Sri Lanka’s digital transformation agenda and contributing towards a more digitally connected and financially inclusive society
